The Importance of Communication During a Change Management

Communication is always the key and one of the most important aspects of any change management. It’s the process by which people are informed about changes in processes or procedures. There are different channels, which can be used to communicate the changes. There can be used external firms, which introduce and train the changes. Another way is that the manager himself explain everything to the employees personal or in a video call or people can do training videos. All in all, there are many ways to communicate, but it is always important!

Changes mean much more work for everyone in the first time. If you want to keep your employees happy, you need to make sure they feel valued and appreciated. You need to convince them with their new opportunities and advantages of the changes. The new challenges will help them grow professionally while still let them feel challenged and engaged.

Changes in Processes with Employees

Every person is and works different. That is why the process must be adapted to different types of employees. Every process change with new employees and can be broken down into three categories:

  1. Processes that are changed due to the need for training: Employees need to have a clear understanding of what is expected of them. This means that they need to be trained on the company’s policies, processes, and procedures. Training is also needed for employees who are new to settle in their new position.
  2. Processes that are changed because of the way people work: There will always be some differences in how people work and these differences will change processes as well. For example, some people prefer working in groups while others prefer working alone, which means there may be changes in how teams get assigned or projects get done.
  3. Processes that are changed because of other technology: Technology is everywhere and can change many processes. For example, many companies have switched to a digital storage system that requires a different process for archiving and transferring files. All employees needed to be introduced in the new processes with training. Every company use different types of programs for their daily business.
